Laminate Flooring FAQ's

Laminate flooring is designed to be relatively low maintenance, meaning its not difficult to keep it looking clean and fresh for a long period of time. All that is needed is a quick vacuum, dusting and wipe down with a damp cloth from time to time and it will bring it back to looking it's best. Just a thing to note is that most laminate floors are not completely waterproof (unlike our vinyl click SPC flooring range), so using too much water during your cleaning process could damage your floor.

Yes, all laminate flooring will need some kind of underlay. This will not only even out your sub-floor providing a level surface for your laminate flooring to sit on, but also offer other benefits such as sound dampening, moisture resistant barrier(for concrete floors) and many other benefits. There are various options of underlays for different types of scenarios, just ask one of our experts on our live chat for advice on choosing the best underlay for your new laminate floor.

Due to the higher levels of moisture and water in the bathroom, it's not usually recommended to install laminate flooring in your bathroom. For bathrooms we offer a much better alternative that is just as easy, if not easier to install which is our vinyl click SPC flooring range.
