Acclimatisation

Allow your flooring to acclimatise in the room where it will be installed for at least 48 hours before fitting. Keep packs sealed and lay them flat.

Took a bit of getting used to the click system

The planks themselves are brilliant — thick, sturdy, look fantastic in the bedroom. Only reason I'm giving four stars is the click mechanism took me a little while to get confident with. Once I had it, it was fine, but my first few planks needed a redo. End result is great though.

Hallway transformation

Would have liked more variety in the plank lengths

The actual quality is fantastic and it fits together really neatly once you get the hang of it. I just found there weren't many different plank lengths in the packs, so the joins can look a little regular if you're not careful with the layout. Easy enough to manage with some planning though, and the floor looks great.

Wish there were more colour options

Really like the quality of this — it's chunky, feels great, and the oak look is classy. My only minor gripe is I'd have liked a slightly cooler, greyer tone to match my kitchen units better. The warmer shade still works but wasn't quite my first choice. Quality is excellent though.

The floor itself is excellent — feels very premium for laminate. I'd say the instructions could be a touch clearer for a first-time DIYer, but watching a couple of YouTube videos sorted me out. The landing looks fantastic now.
