Herringbone pattern is a game changer
Was worried it would look too fancy for our fairly ordinary terraced house but actually it just lifts everything. The oak shade is understated and elegant. Stuck down with no issues — just make sure your subfloor is properly level before you start.
Slightly darker than the photos but I actually prefer it
The colour online looked a touch lighter than what arrived. In person it's a richer, deeper oak which honestly works better with our furniture. Took a bit of adjustment to my initial plan but I'm glad it turned out this way. Fitting was fine once the adhesive was set properly.
Couple of boards had a slight blemish but overall very happy
Out of all the packs I ordered, two or three individual planks had a tiny surface mark. Easy enough to work around and the rest of the batch was perfect. The overall finish once laid is lovely — the oak grain detail is really convincing. Would buy again.
Looks stunning in our hallway
Fitted this last weekend and honestly couldn't be happier. The herringbone pattern looks so much more expensive than it is — guests have already commented on it. Glued down easily and feels very secure underfoot. Would absolutely buy again.
Kitchen floor sorted
Needed something waterproof and hardwearing for a busy kitchen. This ticks every box. The oak finish is really natural-looking — not too orange, not too grey, just right. Gluing down was a bit fiddly at first but once you get into a rhythm it's straightforward. Very satisfied.
Solid choice for a rental property
Put this in a buy-to-let flat. Waterproof, easy to keep clean, and looks smart without costing a fortune. The glue-down method means nothing is going to shift around. Tenants seem pleased too.
Love it
Looks amazing in our living room.
Wasn't sure about ordering flooring online but this worked out perfectly
Ordered a sample first which was reassuring — the real thing matched exactly. The boards arrived well packaged and undamaged. Laying took a weekend but the result is fantastic. The herringbone layout in our kitchen diner has completely changed the feel of the room.
Good stuff
Easy to fit. Looks premium. Good value.
Happy
Fits well, looks the part.
Nice
Looks great in the bathroom.
Great value
Does exactly what it should.
Perfect with underfloor heating
Went down in our extension which has wet underfloor heating. Compatible, no warping, no gaps appearing. Really pleased — this was the thing I was most nervous about.
Much better than our old vinyl tiles
The old floor was peeling and grim. This is a completely different league in terms of looks. Gluing was straightforward with a decent notched trowel. Adhesion is solid and there's no movement at all. Very happy.
Our old carpet was a disaster — this is the opposite
Ripped out years of manky carpet in the hallway and laid this instead. The difference is night and day. Looks clean, modern, and the herringbone detail makes it feel like proper interior design rather than just a floor. Waterproof too which is exactly what you want near a front door.
Needed patience with the herringbone layout but so worth it
Herringbone does require you to plan carefully and do a dry run before gluing anything — there are a lot of small cuts especially around the edges. But once it's down? Genuinely stunning. I've done a few flooring projects and this is the one I'm most proud of. The oak colour is warm and natural.
Wish there were more colour options
The Abury Oak shade is lovely and the product itself is excellent quality — adheres well, looks great, very realistic wood effect. Only reason I'm giving four stars is I had a small area that needed a slightly cooler tone and there wasn't another option in this range. Would still recommend.
Took longer to fit than expected but worth every minute
I'm not the world's fastest DIYer and the herringbone pattern definitely requires patience — lots of cuts at angles. That said, the end result is genuinely stunning. Our open-plan living area looks transformed. The colour is a lovely warm oak that works with pretty much any decor.
Brilliant value for money
Perfect for our utility room.
Downstairs loo transformation
Small room, big impact. The herringbone pattern in a tight space actually looks incredible — it feels like something from a design magazine. Waterproof obviously a must in a bathroom and this delivers on that front completely.
Does the job well
Solid, looks the part. Went down fine in the conservatory with no issues.
