Acclimatisation
Allow your flooring to acclimatise in the room where it will be installed for at least 48 hours before fitting. Keep packs sealed and lay them flat.

Love the look in our conservatory

Herringbone pattern is a real statement
Was nervous about the herringbone layout taking ages but once you get into a rhythm it's actually quite satisfying. The black slate colour is bold and modern — transformed our extension completely. Really glad we went for something a bit different rather than plain planks.

Measured up carefully, ordered, and everything arrived well packaged with no damage. The colour matched the samples I'd checked. Laid it myself over a weekend in the kitchen and hallway — the glue-down method is actually less hassle than I expected once you've done a test run.
Would have liked a lighter colourway option
The black is bold and it works well in our kitchen, but I did spend a while wishing there was a grey or charcoal version in this same herringbone tile format. That said, the quality is great and it's held up perfectly over a busy few months.

Our old carpet was a disaster — this is a revelation
Ripped out a soggy, stained carpet in the utility room and laid this instead. The transformation is night and day. Dark and dramatic, easy to mop, and it makes the room feel intentional rather than like an afterthought. Brilliant.
Took a bit longer to lay than expected
The herringbone pattern requires more cutting and planning than straight planks, so factor that in if you're a first-timer. That said, the result is absolutely worth it — the kitchen looks completely different and my partner keeps showing it off to people. Good product.
Much better than the old vinyl we had
Previous floor was peeling sheet vinyl from about 2009. This is a completely different league — the slate pattern looks authentic and it's held up well with two dogs running around on it. Properly stuck down and no lifting at the edges.
Great in the kitchen — easy to keep clean
We've got kids and a cat so the floor takes a beating. This has been fantastic — just wipe it over and it looks good as new. The dark colour does show up dry footprints a bit but honestly it's a minor thing. Really pleased overall.

I was sceptical about a printed slate finish but in person it genuinely looks the part. The texture gives it some depth and the colour variation across the tiles stops it looking repetitive. Glued down well, no issues.

Landing and top of stairs
Used this on the landing to tie in with the hallway below. Herringbone at both levels looks really cohesive. Slightly darker than the photos on the website but I actually think it looks better — richer somehow.
