Acclimatisation

Allow your flooring to acclimatise in the room where it will be installed for at least 48 hours before fitting. Keep packs sealed and lay them flat.

This product comes with a 15 Years manufacturer's warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal domestic use.

Decent product, minor gripes

Really happy with how the floor looks — the oak colour is exactly right for our kitchen diner. Docking one star because I wish there were a few more length options in the boards, just to give more variety in the laying pattern. That said, it all looks great once down and the rigid core means no movement at all.

Slightly darker in person than the photos online but actually I prefer it — gives the room a cosier feel. The fit and finish of the boards is excellent, very clean edges and the click lock is firm without being impossible to engage. Would buy again for the upstairs rooms.

Happy with the result

Fitted this across the hallway and up the landing. The click system is pretty intuitive once you're into it and the boards feel reassuringly solid — no give or flex at all. Colour is a nice warm oak, not too yellow. Slight colour variation between batches was noticeable when I compared packs, so worth mixing boards from different boxes as you go. Overall a really satisfying job.

Much better than our old laminate

We had cheap laminate in the living room for years and it looked tired and hollow-sounding. This SPC is a completely different experience — much more solid feel to it and the oak finish looks genuinely smart. Took us an afternoon to fit about 18 square metres. Only slight gripe is we had a couple of off-cuts that were awkward around the door frame, but that's fitting rather than the product.

Not the cheapest but worth it

You can see where the money goes with this one. Rigid core feels genuinely substantial compared to the cheaper vinyl click I tried in another room. The golden oak finish has a realistic wood grain to it rather than that flat plasticky look you get with budget options. Took a day to lay the dining room and hallway but I'd do it again without hesitation.
