Transformed our hallway
Our old carpet in the hallway was absolutely battered — muddy boots, dog claws, years of use. This herringbone SPC has completely changed the space. The barley oak colour is warm without being too yellow, and the pattern adds something a bit special. Rigid core feels solid underfoot, no bounce or flex at all. Fitted it myself over a weekend, the click system was straightforward once I got the hang of the angle. Really pleased.
Lovely colour
Exactly the warm oak tone I was after. Looks brilliant in our extension.
Much better than the laminate we had before
The old laminate we had down was horrible — flexed when you walked on it, looked cheap, had definitely seen better days. This SPC herringbone is on another level in terms of how firm it feels. The barley oak colour is genuinely lovely. Took an afternoon to do the bedroom. Very happy.
Wasn't sure about ordering flooring online
Wasn't sure about ordering flooring online but the colour matched the sample card perfectly, which was a relief. The herringbone pattern is subtle and elegant rather than showy. Fitting was manageable for a DIYer — I'd say intermediate level, not beginner. Feels very solid underfoot, no hollow sound when you walk across it. Would order from here again.
Slightly darker in person
Colour came out a touch darker than the photos suggested, but honestly I prefer it — warmer and richer than expected. The rigid core is reassuring, feels like proper flooring rather than something that might dent or flex. Going down in the bedroom next.
Nice
Does exactly what it should.
Great but took some patience
The end result is absolutely stunning — guests keep commenting on it. Took longer to fit than I expected, mainly because herringbone just demands more care and attention than a standard layout. Couple of cuts went slightly wrong early on so factor in a bit of wastage. That said, completely worth the effort.
Herringbone was the right call
Was debating between standard planks and herringbone for ages. So glad I went herringbone — the pattern really elevates the room. The barley oak tone is neutral enough to work with pretty much any furniture. It's 5.2mm SPC so it feels firm and stable, no give whatsoever. Took me a bit longer to lay than a straight run would have but nothing too tricky. Looks like a much more expensive floor than it is.
Happy
Looks great in the kitchen. No complaints.
Brilliant in the conservatory
Fitted this in our conservatory where temperature swings can be a problem. The rigid SPC core means there's been no warping or movement at all, even through the colder nights we've had. Colour is a lovely natural oak — not too light, not too dark. Very satisfied.
Kitchen floor sorted
Easy to fit. Looks premium. Good value.
Perfect for our hallway
Love it, great quality.
Good choice for a rental
Bought this for a rental flat — needed something waterproof, durable and smart looking without breaking the bank. This ticks all those boxes. The herringbone pattern looks far more upmarket than the price suggests. Tenants have commented on how nice the floor looks. Rigid core means it copes well with daily wear. Would buy again.
Fitted this last weekend
Fitted this last weekend in the utility room. Waterproof, which was the main requirement, and it clicked together really neatly. The herringbone gives a smart finish that makes a utility room feel a bit less utilitarian. Solid underfoot for a floor this thin — the SPC core definitely helps.
Decent floor, one small gripe
Really happy with this overall. The colour is spot on and it clicked together without too much fuss. Only giving four stars because I found the herringbone layout took a fair bit of planning to start correctly — probably should have watched more tutorials first. End result though? Stunning. Living room looks completely different.
Good stuff
Solid, looks the part. Fits well and feels sturdy.
