On the level – as well as insulation, FibreBoard provides a level subfloor for the final floor covering, offering stable support and helping your floor last longer by smoothing out the most uneven areas.
Keep out the cold – the exceptional thermal insulation of FibreBoard is perfect for use on very cold subfloors such as cellars, to make your room feel so much cosier and comfortable.
Easy to fit – made from traditional natural wood fibre, you’ll find FibreBoard really easy to line up, cut and fit – saving you a great deal of time and effort wherever you’re installing it.
The wood material in FibreBoard is extremely eco-friendly, being completely natural and 100% recyclable – so it’s better for the planet.
The wood fibre also has high impact sound reduction – so it deadens any loud noise and makes the whole room quieter.
FibreBoard stays cool under pressure too – it resists compression, so provides solid and stable support even under the heaviest weight.

Engineered wood flooring can be installed in two different ways: by all-over adhesion or in a “floating-floor-type” installation. An advantage of all-over adhered engineered wood floors is that they are comparatively low-noise, because vibrations and hollow sounds are largely eliminated. Thanks to the convenient CLICK system, the installation of engineered wood boards, as a “floating floor” is particularly fast and easy to do even without any previous knowledge and has become the most popular method of installation.
When an engineered floor is floated this in normally done on top of an underlay and if the subfloor is concrete then this underlay should contain a moisture barrier or a DPM (damp proof membrane).
We can also supply beading, door thresholds, pipe covers and stair nosing to match the flooring we supply. This will add the finishing touches to your floor.
SOLID WOOD FLOORS
Solid wood floors can be installed using two different methods: by all over adhesion or by secret nail installation.
If the subfloor is concrete the recommended method would be an all over adhesion installation where each individual plank would be glued to the subfloor. If an underlay with a vapour barrier is needed you could also use a self-adhesive underlay available in our accessories category.
If the subfloor is wood then you could use the secret nail installation method, which would secure the planks to the subfloor, and you can do this using an underlay if you prefer to add any protection to the product.
To add finishing touches such as beading, door thresholds, stair nosing we also offer a range of solid oak accessories in different colours and finishes to match different products to add a better visual and more professional touch.
Thanks to the convenient CLICK system, the installation of laminate boards as a “floating floor” is particularly fast and easy to do even without any previous knowledge and has become the most popular method of installation.
When laminate flooring is ‘floated’ this is normally done on top of an underlay and if the subfloor is concrete then this underlay should contain a moisture barrier or a DPM (damp proof membrane) .
We can also supply beading , door thresholds , pipe covers and stair nosing to match the flooring we supply this will add the finishing touches to the floor.
