Product Information

Egger Classic 8mm Moor Acacia Laminate Flooring - is 8mm thick and 193mm wide. This range oozes style and sophistication meaning your floors will look timeless and beautiful for many years. This product has a bevelled edge, this refers to the slight curvature of the edges on the plank that help to create that authentic wood look. This dark oak product has a synchro wood finish giving it a natural and modern aesthetic.

The Egger range is incredibly easy to care for thanks to it's resilient, abrasion-resistant surface and “Swell Barrier Plus” coreboard which is made using natural wood fibres. Because of this Egger floors are noticeably easier to clean than other brands and their products are also resistant to UV radiation, meaning your floor won't fade in sunlight over the years. Eggers European look adds great amounts of style to your rooms, from a vintage look with broader grains to authentic and new natural aesthetics, this range has something for everyone. Plus, this floor comes with the Eggers 20 year guarantee meaning you're covered should any manufacturing faults occur.

One of the key benefits of a laminate floor is that it is water resistant. Compared to a solid wood floor that would easily perish when exposed to liquids, laminate floor can withstand moisture making ideal for every day wear and tear. However, we would always recommend cleaning any liquids from the products surface as soon as possible so to avoid any possible long term damage. The water resistance does make laminate floors considerably easier to clean in comparison to some other types of floors. This means your floor will look beautiful for longer. The majority of laminate floors are suitable for use with laminate floors, including this one. The ability to use this floors with underfloor heating makes it an ideal choice for the modern home and can help by adding a bit of extra warmth to your floor. Similarly, laminate floors are more comfortable underfoot thanks to the way it is made. This softer touch doesn't make it any less durable, as laminate floors are a perfect choice for areas that experience heavy footfall such as hallways, shop floors or kitchens.

Installation

ENGINEERED FLOORS

Engineered wood flooring can be installed in two different ways: by all-over adhesion or in a “floating-floor-type” installation. An advantage of all-over adhered engineered wood floors is that they are comparatively low-noise, because vibrations and hollow sounds are largely eliminated. Thanks to the convenient CLICK system, the installation of engineered wood boards, as a “floating floor” is particularly fast and easy to do even without any previous knowledge and has become the most popular method of installation.

When an engineered floor is floated this in normally done on top of an underlay and if the subfloor is concrete then this underlay should contain a moisture barrier or a DPM (damp proof membrane).

We can also supply beading, door thresholds, pipe covers and stair nosing to match the flooring we supply. This will add the finishing touches to your floor.

SOLID WOOD FLOORS

Solid wood floors can be installed using two different methods: by all over adhesion or by secret nail installation.

If the subfloor is concrete the recommended method would be an all over adhesion installation where each individual plank would be glued to the subfloor. If an underlay with a vapour barrier is needed you could also use a self-adhesive underlay available in our accessories category.

If the subfloor is wood then you could use the secret nail installation method, which would secure the planks to the subfloor, and you can do this using an underlay if you prefer to add any protection to the product.

To add finishing touches such as beading, door thresholds, stair nosing we also offer a range of solid oak accessories in different colours and finishes to match different products to add a better visual and more professional touch.

LAMINATE
